Barrie was great to work with throughout the planning process and wedding
weekend and invited my (now) husband and I to her Inn to capture our vision
and plan the execution. Her innate knowledge of Ithaca and hands-on
approach enabled us to have spectacular and personalized events including
the rehearsal dinner at the Museum of the Earth, and the wedding reception
at the Ithaca Farmer's Market. Barrie's artistic talents especially shone
in her floral arrangements and decoration of the Farmer's Market. Barrie
and her team were involved in all aspects of the planning from
accommodations at a guest house to hair and makeup for the bridesmaids.
Barrie allowed us and our families to completely relax and enjoy our
wedding day to the fullest.

We were married in Ithaca/Trumansburg in July 2004 and Barrie French was our wedding planner. We really didn’t have to sweat much small stuff as Barrie took cake of all the details. We live in New York City so most planning and correspondence was completed through email and phone communications. She never dropped the ball.

Barrie is the perfect planner because not only is she a creative and visual person but she’s also excellent with logistics and has a thorough knowledge of local vendors. She knows how to work with a set budget but make the end product look far more luxurious. Barrie really thinks on her feet: if there were any glitches, she would call us up only after she had investigated all other alternatives. We had little to stress over. Her strong business acumen also meant that she would shop for quotes and have all the information ready to report anytime we belated thought of something! On the big day, the sun was shining, although it had rained all week, and the grounds looked picture perfect. The proof of Barrie’s planning was in the execution: everyone had so much fun at our wedding, people danced all night long!

We strongly recommend Barrie as the person to hold your hand and guide you through the drama and production of staging one of the biggest events of your life.
